YDRC Group Hack to Yearsley Woods

On Saturday 25th November, some of our members visited Yearsley Woods for a group hack.

We were so lucky to get some sunshine!

Info on the YDRC Hacking Group…

The point of this group is to meet other people in YDRC, while exploring a new route with your horse! We look after each other, and stay at a pace we are all happy with.

As the group grows, we will be doing rides for those who like to go faster, and those who like to go at a steadier pace.

We hope the group will encourage new friendships within the club, giving you more people to ride with.

The rides are completely free (aside from course hire, etc where you’d pay the venue’s normal rate).

We are planning to go to lots of local places together – Escrick park, Redcar beach, Skipwith Common, Myton-On-Swale, Fountains Abbey etc.. But we’ll also occasionally meet at member’s yards (where possible), so they can show us their favourite route!

Usually a limit of 4 horses/riders per ride.

Would you like to join us next time….?

Anyone/everyone is welcome to join our hacking group.

Please be aware that although the hacks are being organised for YDRC members, you are hacking at your own risk – just as you would outside of the club. YDRC cannot take any responsibility for accidents etc.
