Welcome to the YDRC website!
York and District riding club was founded in 1968. We are affiliated to the British Horse Society, and we are in Area 4.
We have our very own club field on Corban Lane, near Wigginton (5 minutes from York ring road). Our facilities include a club house, arena, a large grass area for warm up and plenty of parking (including a large hard standing area). For directions, put “York and District Riding Club” into Google Maps.
Lessons and various events are run at the club field throughout the year. When the weather gets miserable we run events at Whincover Farm, Haxby where we have access to a 20m x 40m Indoor Arena and an Outdoor 20m x 60m Outdoor Arena.
We run regular dressage competitions (open to anyone), with BD judges throughout the year, and we have an established league table for those who are a club member.
We also run regular Show Competitions and Pole Clinics, including clear round evening practice.
We organise a number of social events throughout the year but we’re always open to suggestions! So please Email us with any ideas. We publish a monthly newsletter to keep members informed and up to date with events and training.
We support the Yorkshire Air Ambulance!
